Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs or branched amino acids, essential amino acids) from leucine, isoleucine and valine contain approximately 35% of the amino acid composition of muscle tissue. We cannot make these amino acids ourselves and we must incorporate them into the diet.

BCAAs are different from the other amino acids, because they are immediately absorbed in the muscles, and not to be stored in the liver.
