Vitamin A
Vitamin A, or beta-carotene or retinol. It is a fat-soluble vitamin and
which stores in the liver and adipose tissue. Its first role in the body
is to support growth and expansion of bone tissue. Extremely important
for the proper production of hormones, which is important for the proper
course of pregnancy. Indispensable for the proper functioning of the
organ of sight. Its deficiency causes blurred vision, particularly
nocturnal. Vitamin A is also important for our skin. Thanks to it, the
protective function of the epidermis is strengthened and the loss of
water is reduced. It increases the production of collagen, which affects
the firmness of the skin. Vitamin A deficiency can lead to your eyes
drying out, impair immunity, and breakage of the hair and nails. In
addition to poor diet and problems with absorption, alcohol and smoking
are contributing to its deficiency. It also works well in the fight
against acne, but only after consulting your doctor. Working at the
computer (people who strain the eyesight) also often affects the
increased demand for vitamin A.
