Dandelion Extra Strong:  From root to flower, dandelion are highly nutritious plants, loaded with vitamins, minerals and fiber.  The root of the dandelion is rich in the carbohydrate inulin, which is a type of soluble fiber found in plants that supports the growth and maintenance of a healthy bacterial flora in your intestinal tract.  Dandelion is native to Africa, Asia and Europe, and dispersed, with the help of man in many places.  In the Netherlands at least 250 micro - species are known.  A micro - species is a clone or a mixture of clones, which are morphologically distinct from one another.  The flower head of a dandelion flower consists entirely of ray florets.  The pappus (calyx reduced) consists of hairs.  The stem is hollow and never has leaves.  The leaves form a basal rosette.
